Hello Robin
This one is attributed to the firm of Berg & Nolte, Lüdenscheid and is one of my favorite makers.
This particular example has a sheet metal style hinge and round wire catch. What is unique about these is the recess that has been cut into the reverse and the hinge and catch are then inserted into the reverse and soldered in place.
It's a worn piece but all original and the bend in the pin does not detract from the badge.
In regards to the price; I have seen this one on that site and would have purchased it if I did not already have two with this same hardware set up.
Long story short, I think it's a good price ;-)
Here is one I have to compare.
Best Regards, fischer
I guess that 60 Euro is around $100 CDN. I wouldn't hesitate
as IMO, this is a great price.........!
Regards,
Steve.
Thankyou, both of you for the feedback. The story behind it makes it much more fun to purchase it,
Welcome to the forum Robin and good luck with your purchase.
It's a great price and if Fischer gives it a seal of approval then you know it's a good one.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
