    Hi Ralph,

Another nice addition to the Boos collection! The rear set up is interesting, and i'd imagine problematical to get right everytime. The gas porosity could well be caused by a dirty die, poor quality zinc, or a temprature anomaly where the material or mold were not at the correct temprature. A great badge and rather unusual, well done snagging it mate!

    Regrds, Ned.
    Thanks Ned!
Yes, I agree that any of those problems could have caused the porosity. Just unusual to see on originals.

I was thinking along the same lines-a dirty die? Apparently, the quality control guy was off sick that day... But, whatever way you look at it, it's still a fine original. It should fill a spot nicely in one of your badge frames!

    Hi Guys

I thought I would add my packet set to this thread.
Attribution to G&W came with the discovery of these ShuCo Designed "crimped in" examples with these packets addressed to Gottlieb & Wagner, Oberstein / Nehe.

    Best Regards, fischer
