Infantrie Sturmabzeichen in Silber, Assmann & Söhne, Maker Marked "A"

A recent addition to my IAB collection.
A solid zinc example from this maker with a wrap around sheet metal hinge and a round wire ? shaped catch.
There appears to be some form of recess for mounting of the hinge and catch, then they are soldered.
This zinc example retains some of the silver finish.
