Default Infantrie Sturmabzeichen in Silver, Friedrich Orth, L/14.

A hew addition to my IAB collection.
This solid zinc example is maker marked L/14 for the firm of Friedrich Orth. While most that we see are marked with the initials F.O., these are seen less often.
It has a sheet metal, wrap around, oval hinge, soldered within the mounting guide lines. It has a round wire "?" shaped catch, soldered directly to the reverse of the badge.
This example retains most of it's silver finish.

Look at the shine on the eagle! That one is a cracker, for sure-and scarce as well! Nice catch!

I believe there are about 8 makers known to have marked their IABs with their LDO mark.
