    Hi,

Like to get the opinion about this hollow ISA which I believe is made by Frank & Reif.

I’m somewhat concern about the pitting on the rifle stock.

Is it a bronze or silver ISA?

    How common are these?

    Thanks
    /Jonas

    Hello Jonas,
I was not aware that F&R made a hollow IAB. More research is required.

Definitely not F&R. I'm not too keen on this ISA, it could only be a Deumer "Daisy" or an S&H. That's the best I can say from the pics. Hardware seems odd for either of those makers. Stewy

    Hello

This one appears to be an attributed Wilhelm Deumer ISA.
As to originality; with these photos I cannot say.

The pitting on the obverse makes me think of zinc, yet the zinc hollow Deumer does not have the area between the swazy and the kar98k cut out.
This could also be ground dug.

The catch looks correct for this design but the hinge is not. This style was not used on this variant.

Again, with the quality of photos, this is guesswork on my part...High Resolution scans work best.

    Best Regards, fischer

    Thanks for all the feedback.

I thought it was an F&R comparing it to the 1.11.1 in Sacha Webers book "Das Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen"

Hi Jonas, which page are you looking at in Sacha's ISA book? I've got the Ltd edition English version. Is yours the revised German edition? I'm with Fischer, it appears to be a Deumer of sorts. Catch looks "Deumer", but hinge as mentioned by my mate isn't. Possibly ground dug, but more likely a "shed find" as I like to call them. Not enough damage for a G dug. Stewy

The hinge looks very much like that used by Petz & Lorenz and Juncker on some of there combat badges. Trouble is, the design don't!

Hi Stewy, it is the German edition 1.11.1 on page 96.

It shows a hollow F&R that resembles this one.
