Hi people! This is my first infanterie sturmabzeichen in bronze, came from Belgium today! Its a tombak hollow unmarked Mayer. I have to picture it on daylight, looks much better. Little oxidation on the reverse, nothing serious.

Very nice example of an unmarked buntmetal Infanterie Sturmabzeichen with the later standardised flat wire catch that indicates it was indeed made by B.H.Mayer using the original Schickle die. You won't ever lose money on this baby, well done!

It seems a pity, but I do not think I can write more. R. SCOTT.

What do you think about the oxidation, could it spread?

Not if you look after it. It's lasted seventy years with 95% of the finish intact and the minor greyness on the back doesn't detract.
Keep it in a dry and stable environment and it will see you out!
