It looks like the catch may have been replaced.

I also believe this to be an original badge. This one is the 5 over 5 variant because the first and second leaves above the rifle butt have five veins each coming off of the main stem through the centre of the leaf. I also believe the catch to be original but the rarer version as the most common has an oblong catch plate.
As Ralph says, wait for Fischer, Stewy or Janos to confirm this.
