The badge that started this thread is referred to as the unmarked "H" Design solid.
It is one of four different solid variants that I have categorized below;
Type 1 - Pillow Crimp attachment for hinge and catch
Type 2 - Pillow Crimp w/ Directly soldered catch plate
Type 3 - Sheet Metal Hinge w/ Directly soldered catch plate
Type 4 - Sheet Metal Hinge w/ Circular crimp attachment
Note: These are not in a chronological order as we do not know which variation came first, etc.
The ISA that started the thread is an all original Type 2 with the factory soldered rectangular shaped catch plate in place of the crimping technique.
As we have seen with other makers, the crimping attachment method did save on material and production time but appears to have been a weak design and prone to failures.
Here is my Type 2 for comparison.
