Unmarked Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber

This is my first genuine (hopefully) Infanterie Sturmabzeichen that I've acquired today. Please estimate one and look who is maker.

Your new Infanterie Sturmabzeichen is a nice original and is referred to as the "Real Wernstein". For years the UU marked Wiedmann examples were thought to be made by Hermann Wernstein until unquestionable proof was discovered linking the UU maker mark with the five dots to the firm of E. Ferd Wiedmann. Collectors then noticed the very unique catch on your ISA resembles the same type catch found on Wernstein/Jena Sports Badges. Once this connection was made, collectors began referring to this one as the "Real Wernstein".
