combat infantry badge hi guys
got this lot off ebay
first off the first award this has got no makers mark what so ever & some strange clutch backs Ive never seen before & seeing what seems to be a lot of scratching to the back in this area could they be repairs of some sort ??

Guessing you know these are fairly recent/post war badges. I've never seen that type
of set-up on the first award either, and suspect it has been repaired as you
suggest - it looks like the pins have been glued in place.
Sometimes the clutch pins are broken off so that badges and insignia can be attached
to a display frame by taping or gluing them on. When the display is broken up,
an attempt at restoring the badge is what may have happened were.........

Re: combat infantry badge yeah i know they're post war mate i just like the fact on the first & second award the rifles are stuck on separately as for the repair im guessing its either the original clutch pins were broken it was a pin back originally that's been replaced with these for what ever reason.
