    Default 1944 Burma Allied banner

Hi, found this banner on the flea market today.
Its very well made and detailed. The bullion is just superb, in my opinion.
It has a very nice look to it and with great patina.

Is this a known example? Apparently, the owner was a British veteran that came to live to Portugal.
    So its a local find.

Cannot verify the story, so if possible leave your opinions on the banner.

    Cheers
    Nuno

Very nice banner. I would suggest, looking at the workmanship, it was probably made / commissioned in the Far East as a (period) souvenir piece

It is probably a pillow case, I have some of a similar type from the middle east. Very nice example.

I agree. As beautifully made as this piece is, there is no way I would pay 450 for it
