The same badge was used up to 1958 from before WWI.

The badge that I post is whitout text in the middle of the cross and is made brass. Is impossible to undestad if is a postwar model?

The regiment was formed in 1919. Previous to that, it was the Bedfordshire regiment. The (regular) regiment disbanded in 1958. That badge is either a copy - or a very badly worn original. I have a blackened Bedfordshire regiment badge mounted (of all places) on a WW1 Mills bomb.

Hi Steve,
I found this badge on an old univeritary humoristic hat in Italy, called "goliardo" hat, I dont know how this badge arrive on this particolar hat: the "goliardo" was given to student at the end of their studies, with a lot of umoristics iteam on it.
