Default British Control Commission Germany cap badge

Hi Guys, after the end of WW2, the British set up the Control Commission Germany.

As the country was devastated and local Nazi officials needed to be replaced, the British brought in their own troops, police and civil servants to run the country in the British Zone of Occupation.

Some "wag" saw the leters "CCG" on the cap badge and jokingly called them "Charlie Chaplin's Guards"

    Cheers, Ade.
