Hi, newby on this forum and hoping someone can help ID this button that I couldn't find in any reference books. I thought it may have been naval period 1895 - 1914 due to the edge fluting but the letters ACS would probably indicate Army Service Corp? Nothing to give it away on the back, only wording being "super quality" (strange?). I have attached a couple of photos front and back

i am wondering if this is a company button.

that's probably an "o" off to the right there.

so you have "AS Co." or some such thing.

not very helpful, i know. but i have seen buttons with "Co." shown this way before. so my guess would be the button may not be military at all, per se.

although apparently the "superior quality" marking is quite common and found on the backs of scads of civil war and post civil war buttons both military and otherwise.
