The Border Regt is a particular favourite unit of mine, as the 1st Battl fought with distinction at Arnhem.

    Officers Bronze cap badge
    OR's Collar dogs
    OR's shoulder titles. (WW1)

    Cheers, Ade.

Staying on the Border Regt theme. Here is a sweetheart embroidery which was done in WW2. The wooden backing to the frame is made from a ration box.

    Cheers, Ade.

Hi Jelle, yes that was him. His son, who I was at school with, was named after his Dad. He was from Ruddington, Nottingham.

    Nice title!

    Cheers, Ade.

Thanks Ade,I also own a set of these. My aim is to get a complete uniform together as worn by most men during the Arnhem battle ,all original and in a typical medium size off the time.I have this nearly complete, but am always looking for ways to improve it and make it as complete and correct as possible.I will post parts of it in the topics allready on the subjects here on the forum. Here is my plastic capbadge, the red paint has run a bit.
