Has anyone ever seen this beret flash?

As the title implies, I have a beret flash that I have never seen. A little backstory.
I was exploring an old, abandoned home and found a partially decayed green beret with this flash attached. it was a green beret, wool I believe, with a black piece of material around the opening. I didn't see any markings or tags. The beret lately seems to have disintegrated. The flash was basically the only thing left aside from a small patch of fabric still attached to it.
Not sure if this is an actual military flash or some fantasy thing.
