Help needed on identifying trench art insignia

    What little flacks do you mean? The white spots or...? Give me a location where you see one and ill tell you what it is. Note that the rope is filled with either metal bits or dried up leather. The material is really unrecognisable. It might even be bark off a tree.

    Took one small piece out and im fairly sure its wood to fill up the rope.

    I mean if it was gun powder it would be really small metal bits right? Like half a millimeter or smaller right?

    Nobody able to date the 2 dutch emblems? Or maybe know why the cartridge indent is oval, instead of the usual round one?

    There are several causes for such primer-strikes...dragging firing pin, a weak main-spring etc...
    As I stated earlier, the items that we're able to identify clearly indicate WWI-Era...

    Perhaps the wood was originally one long piece, and it has been broken? I wonder what the length of the thing is when it is straight?

    About 30 centimeters. But the woods chips dont match up so i assume it was just there for fillers instead of it actually being a long stick once.
