    It's a post war Royal Artillery formation; 102 Coast Brigade which was based in Portsmouth.
    The RA Coast Brigades were disbanded in around 1956 I think and some were converted to Royal Engineer units in the Territorial Army.

    Here's some history;

    British Army units from 1945 on - Coast Brigades

    Hope this helps

    Regards

    Mark

    Well done Chris, you got me whilst I was typing
    "War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing he cares more about than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature with no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
