Military employed civilian cap badge to ID

Good morning gents,

This should be a very easy question for one who knows the answer but I'm afraid I can't quite put my finger on it!

I am trying to ID the badge below. It is clearly British or Commonwealth but from one of a narrow group as the make up of the design suggests.

The crown is clearly the Queens or St Edwards crown so that dates it to post 1953

To me the Combined Services design of Anchor, swords and eagle indicates the Ministry of Defence.

However the make up of the wreath has me a little stumped. Where I would expect to see Laurel leaves represented in a British badge there are what look like the stylised Maple leaves I recognise from Canadian pieces.

My thoughts are that this is an MoD uniformed civilian staff (security / building staff etc) and that it is not British.

So, is it Canadian and which personnel would wear it?

One thing I know for sure, this is definitely not the Royal Navy item it is claimed to be!

Of course, I had forgotten about the Tri-Service thing, thanks for the reminder.

Is this badge still worn and if it is by who?

I know from my own experience with Canadian NATO allies and Canadian exchange personnel (during the 80's and 90's anyway) that they wore specific regimental badges (MPs in particular) and I am sure I recall a Canadian colleague telling me that the Tri-Service arrangement was not popular at least at regimental designation level. Do you know the current situation?
