Need Help Please? French or British WWII Patches?

These came out of a fairly large collection of French military patches but I can not ID. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

first one is coats of arms of Algiers, capital of Algeria; before 1962, end of Algeria war
the new one is different

the name of the second depends of the period, have a look here:
