Militia artillery uniforms of the 1920s were used for field service as well as parade use-very outmoded looking-the Militia was a very small and underfunded body between the wars up until panic set in in the late 1930s-that being said, much of the available cash in the period went to the coastal artillery as it was purely defensive and created construction work projects like Kingstown Barracks on Rottnest island off Fremantle.

    Hi Rene,
In 1949 the RAA changed it's motto from CONSENSU STABILES (post 1903) to QUO FAS ET GLORIA DUCUNT .
Your FS cap and badge are from the 1950-1953 period maybe a tad later I would think with swap out to ERII badges. The FS cap would have been the headdress for a set of post 45 dress blues maybe. Here's a link to the badge mate.

I can't seem to find a great deal re post WW2 dress blue fs caps but I think they were worn. The uniform was reinstated in 1951 so that matches the badge's era.

Collar's were used as FS and visor cap insignia. So that's a match. I'm still thinking post WW2 mate.

I'm new to this forum and hope you can identify this patch. I believe it is Australian.
