    Here's something cool.
These two items came as a lot. General Service hat badge and a piece of Palestinian coinage dated 1939.

Thanatos-thanks for the encouragement-Palestinian coinage ws a popular and cheap souvenir-have a cupro/nickel example from my father-interesting coins with the 3 languages and scripts on them (English, Arabic and Hebrew)-Dad also had a tattoo of the GS badge and the legend 'Jerusalem' underneath it.

Cool banana's Lithgow. Jerusalem has that certain attraction to it hey. 1000 years worth of soldiers have left their mark scratched into the stone structures of Jerusalem, from the crusaders to modern times. Etched in time near eternal. Love the concept of the Rising Sun over Jerusalem on your Dads tattoo.
    Cheers mate

Not sure what the story is with this one It is a 2/24th colour patch made from coloured leather... Looks to have been sewn to something once as well... Maybe a digger wore It on his puggaree, I have seen plenty of sewn custom made unit patches but never another leather one before.
