    G,day Mick,
The Returned from Active Service badge appears to be a good WW2 example. Nice little lot mate.

Sat down with Athol again last night. Another amazing few hours for sure.
Four things stood out from my conversation with him,
The great waste of good men and the poor tactics at Gona/Sanadana. Athol was hit in the knee during one of the frontal attacks on Gona.
How inspiring Captain Sam Temlpeton was to his men during the early Kokoda engagements and the admiration he had for his young men.
How Ralph Honner attempted to address all the surviving members of the 39th as they pulled back. As we know Parer filmed one of the parades at Menari but It wasn't the only one Honner conducted there to address his brave young soldiers.
We were speaking of the Salvation Army on the track and Athol stated how they risked their lives and well being to push right up the track to support the front line blokes as best they could. Athol holds them with great esteem for this reason and stated "If the Japs got hold of them they would have murdered them all, they killed everyone, they would have killed Santa Claus if they got hold of him" He's a bloody character that's for sure.
"It's all like a dream to me now David"
Athol gave me this at the end of the night, I feel so blessed but also feel as if I don't deserve it.

I'm going to give it to our RSL museum for permanent display and am pushing to have the museum named in his honour at a later date.
We will catch up again in another two weeks.

Sorry to use the term "=Ja-ps=" but that is what Athol stated so bugger political correctness in this case.

    Cheers fella's

Their interesting little titles. I posted a set earlier but have no idea's re their origins.
Yours have the "standard" lugs as per the voided examples. Have a look at the lugs on the one's I posted as they are a two piece construction and totaly different. I believe your set is the norm re the lugs.
I would love to know what their story is.

Cheers Rene and have a good day off mate..

Have any of you blokes seen a pair of un-voided Australia titles before.
I feel they look good period wise but not to certain of their origins. The lugs are two piece manufacture.

    Anyone have any ideas ?
I figured to whack mine up for comparison
