    Cheers for posting mate
    My pleasure Bloke

Bill's collection is quite staggering as he has made a career out of this stuff ~ working in association with the Dept of Defence and QLD Mines and explosives ~

This shelf is a mere fraction of his collection ~

I was stunned when he pulled out plastic nibbly trays (with all the triangular sections) and and plastic containers FULL of rings ~ even rings made form coins ~ all roughly categorized ~ and badges !! ..

Badges and badges ~ regimental badges and forces. Australian ~ USA ~ as he also works the swap meets ~ and was entralled by my story of the Dutch WWII Services badge!

If you look between the shelves to the back ~ there is a munitions box ~ and in that he has two 4.5" rounds ~ one Smoke and one HE, in original colours ~ green and Yellow ~

I will suffice to say he merely tapped the open box with his foot and quietly said ~ " I HAVE to do something about those two! "

A single 25th Darling Downs Collar.

    Post your WW2 Australian Insignia.

These blokes were one of the Militia battalions involved in the Milne Bay battle Aug-Sept 1942.

    Cheers

    Hi Jack,
    25th Battalion unit history
25th Battalion (Darling Downs Regiment) | Australian War Memorial

You will find these on page 20 of the Cussoms 1930-42 guide.

I would love a hat badge for this unit but they are expensive due to their link with Milne Bay.

    Cheers
    Dave
