    G'day all,
    Thought I would start a new thread re WW2 Australian insignia.
    Please post your General Service Badges, Corps and Regimental insignia, Militia insignia, Formation Colour Patches, Rank insignia and the like, the thread is open to all, both cloth and metal and from all arms of the services.

    I'll start with a pair of 1930-42 Victorian 57th Militia Battalion "The Merri Regiment" collar dogs.

    Post your WW2 Australian Insignia.

    A 1930-42 Victorian 59th "Coburg" Militia Battalion service hat badge.

    And lastly for today and complete set of 1921-42 Australian Instructional Corps Service Badges.

    Nice items Dave, I like those militia badges.... I have a few items nothing too rare. my favorites would be the 2/48th patch, the slider hat badge, and of course my Grandfathers insignia from his R.A.A.F tunic and cap.

    G'day Paul,
    Nice stuff mate especially your Grandfathers uniform insignia. I think your a very lucky man to have a reli's Service Uniform in your collection.
    I also like your 9th Divi T patch, She's a ripper Paul.

    Paul that 2/48th Patch is a beauty I still haven't got one yet... Every time one pops up on ebay It goes for too much money or I bloody miss it!

    What I hope happens is that we can create a combined reference source for Australian WW2 insignia and the likes. It may become a useful tool for those forum members seeking info on these types of items.
    What got me thinking was your Pattern 37 webbing thread idea Luke. Maybe another thread on Aussie WW2 Uniforms and Headdress, any other idea's fella's ?

    Some other ranks slip ons...

    1. Early war private purchase slip on Australia title singles.

    2. Late war issued slip on titles, the bottom woollen set are just post war. they were worn on BCOF and replaced the metal titles on the service dress
