    Yes I'm sure that's a Belgian crown. The general design is definitely RAF influenced though, and the 'shitehawk' is almost identical. Maybe the Belgian Air Force modelled itself after the RAF post-war, after all, there were 'Free Belgians' flying with the RAF in WW2, wearing RAF-like uniforms. A legacy of that perhaps? I don't know much at all about Belgian Air Force uniforms, sorry...

    The Dutch crown is very similar, I agree. The writing on the back is in French though, which also suggests Belgian.
