RAF buttons

Article about: by stuka f Here you go! Attachment 261131 Thank you... much more comfortable. Yes I'm sure that's a Belgian crown. The general design is definitely RAF influenced though, and the 'shitehawk'

    Default RAF buttons

I think these are RAF buttons, are they any good for trade, or just scrap?
    I think they are aluminium.
    And could anyone date them?

Kings crown, if British, means they are before 1953, though the RAF is not something I know much about.

They are marked on the back "brior brevete".
Any information on the "Brior" name is very welcome as well.

Could you post a closeup picture of just one button, face on? As it is it's hard to tell - twisting my head all round trying to see just one button properly

From what I can see, I think the crown is Belgian, not British

That is also my idea, the crown doesn't seem to be a British King's or Queen's crown!
I'll make a picture asap!! I feel sorry you getting sea sick...

Its not RAF, i have seen brass, black and a few flat chromed none of which have the attachment for sewing on like these. If they are aluminium then the rust must be coming from something else in the box.
