Rare 305th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force A2 Patch

A friend gave me this 305th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force A2 jacket patch the other day. All I know is the 305th were one of the most highly decorated air force B-17 heavy bomber groups in the European Theater, and two of their members were awarded the Medal of Honor. This is the first time I have ever seen an original 305th patch, so I would imagine they are pretty rare. If there are any Air Force patch experts out there I would love to get your opinions on this patch.
