    1. Yellow lettering embroidered on dark blue felt.
    2. White lettering embroidered on red felt.

    What is the difference?
    Can they be dated?
Is it possible to tell the difference between WWII and post war titles?
Have they changed after GeorgeVI (post 1953)?
    Thanks for helping. .

I believe that that R.A.S.C. stands for Run Away Someones Coming.
'I do not think we can hope for any better thing now.
We shall stick it out to the end, but we are getting weaker of course, and the end cannot be far.
It seems a pity, but I do not think I can write more. R. SCOTT.

There is no need to make jokes about your own military tell those who gave their lives with RASC. You know what RASC means and I just asked for some help. Thanks.

Excuse me I did not understand the joke; it must have been in connection with the fact I have not mentioned; those are not genuine RASC titles I just downloaded the pics from elsewhere to demonstrate them. Still, I have genuine items related to RASC and I would appreciate if my questions are answered. Thanks again and excuse me for not mentioning this before.

Cheers for that Jonno, bang on!

O.K. Prof, white on red = normal ground based services.

Yellow on blue is specifically for Air Drop.

Hope you can post the genuine article next time, otherwise concerning the date, it could be as short as last week, couldn't it?

    Ned.

Thanks Ned, I appreciate your answer it is most valuable; nobody I asked knew the difference. By the way, my generation had Latin lessons I like your motto:
``Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? `` With political corruption we see every day, it is amazing nothing has changed in 2000 years. They worship ``the golden calf`` only. Cheers.

Ivan, the official pattern never changed. The top one is correct, the bottom one a very poor fake that has found its way to ebay recently.
