Article about: Hi everyone, am I right in thinking this is a: ww2 (early not economy) royal artillery NCO gun arm badge set? Each cannon measures 6x2.5 cm Any thoughts appreciated as I'm trying to learn!!!

    Certainly looks to be the early version for the BD. The only ones I have are the printed version.

    I have two similar patches , I was told they were WWI . If I can dig them out I'll try to post them .

    You could be correct, it does seem a bit different to some other WWII examples I looked at since I posted.

    wasnt the ww1 design pattern different from the ww2 design?
    i really have no idea, im struggling to find any images so im just going off this traders website that has this listed as ww1 design:

    Well here they are , on closer inspection they are fairly different from the first one shown . But I thought that could have been from different makers . Would this be a GUN LAYERS badge ? I would also like any more information on these badges .

    yours do look more like the traders example i mentioned earlier.

    Sorry for resurrecting this old thread, but could do with some thoughts on these.
    the bullion one has me confused as the design of the cannon is the ww1 era design, and the BD one has me confused as it looks home-made!
    any thoughts or comments appreciated!!
