I have a similar one to the Australian Engineers with Kings crown. I would not be surprised if these were still available in the late 1950's. Maybe the RSL were selling them?
not really sure , there are only a few on google images but not exactly the same as mine.
I would imagine if the RSL or shops were selling these that there would be more around?
They were once relatively common, I also have a few RAN ones. Most would have fallen victim to mothing and estate clear-outs hence we don't see them so often these days. An army unit near me has a display of these.
