    The Guadalcanal patch with the snake is one I've never seen before. Do you have any more info on it? Patches are not my expertise but I like that one.

    Hi Burt!

    The 2nd Marine Div. snake patch is an "unofficial" unit insignia that the 2nd adopted after Guadalcanal. Although very cool looking... I believe the snake patch never caught on because of how similar it looks to the 1st Marine Div. insignia... especially at a distance.

    Love the 17th AB patch Joe.
    My late grandfather was in the Grenadier Guards, "bounced the Rhine", (and a few other places), with them in WWII and always spoke highly of them.

    Thanks for the comments, all! I plan on eventually adding the other USMC divisions and displaying them over a backing of USMC camo fabric...
