Hello, after much searching I have not found out what this pin is. It was my Great-Grandfather's who served in the 25th Armored Engineer Corps (C Company) during the Second World War. This one pin I have no idea what it is and have searched many places and have found no answer.

I was told by a friend's father that is is Greek in origin. Can anyone confirm this? I have copies of his records, and from my memory he did not serve in the Balkans. I'll look for those records again and see if they say differently.

I'll try to get some better pictures of the back tomorrow.

It looks like a regimental logo badge similar to these:

    The Collector's Guild

Any idea what regiment of the 25th Armored Engineer Corps he served in?

That would be in his records, I'll have to find those soon. I'll post again when I find it

It also has Germany stamped on the back, I can't make out the top 2 words.

Could you post a photo of the markings on the back? Perhaps a German jeweler made these up for troops stationed in Germany post-war on occupation duty?

The sunburst on the top reminds me of the Arizona State Flag.

Due to it being glued on (Sadly :/ ) I can't get the beggining of the words, but this is what I see.

    Top Row: ONNER
    Middle Row: BERFIELD
    Bottom Row: [G]ERMANY

When the lighting is better tomorrow I'll take a picture of it.

It's a US 'D.I.' insignia, made in Germany. I've searched for what it
might be, but cannot find it - there are loads of them........
    Regards,
