    Hi Postmanhell. This young soldier appears to be wearing the insignia of the Belgian 1st Infantry Brigade...

    The 1st Infantry Brigade "PIRON"

    Wow! Spot on........many thanks for responding. This has just come into my possession. The full photo postcard shows the soldier with who I assume, his wife

    This could also be a post-war photo , note the shoulder strap button appears to be embossed . So not a standard British uniform jacket .
