Article about: What you have there is a cartridge belt buckle that was made for wear on the various types of cartridge/ammo belts used from the 1920's through the early 1940s. I have a good size collection

    Hey everyone, not sure where to post this, sorry !!! Any ideas if this an original 1926 issue buckle............ or a modern made buckle? Thanks guys!

    If this is an original 1926 issue, what is the value, i do not want to over pay for this item!

    Obviously a private purchase.
    Certainly not issue. The claim of it being a model 26 is dubious.
    Military regulations wouldn't allow for wear with regulation uniforms
    The value would only be that of a curiosity.

    There is a lot of info online, I might be off on the day , but this buckle was officially adopted and allowed to be worn by members of the 9th ,on the john Brown belt, August 8th, 1926. It is all on the internet from various sources.

    Did it state anything about state militias ?
    What are the sites you are quoting?
    There is no such thing as a john brown belt.
    There is a Sam Browne belt but they have clawed belt buckles.

    Sorry, Sam Brown, U.S. items are not my area, Third Reich is....... just Google Manchu Mile,9th div buckle. Several sites come right up.
