Article about: Hi all. I have had this badge for a while but cannot find out what unit it is. It is probably quite modern and is made by Meyer. Possibly something to do with missiles? Thanks in advance.

    DUIs are difficult because there are so many different ones.
    The one shown is definitely post WW II. That is all I know.

    Thanks Steve. I have since found out it is for the 16th Signal Battalion, active between 1978 and 2006. I quite like these DUIs might be a good thing to collect. Cheers.

    Di's are quite a broad field but enjoyable. You may want to focus on a branch like Infantry, Artillery etc. "ASMIC" American Society of Military Insignia Collectors has a motto book that helps with identification. They have a website also, a membership would be worth while if you decide to collect Di's
