US Navy Marine USAAF Pilot CAP HAT BADGE? Please help identify!
This was in a box lot of military items I got at an estate sale. Most everything in the box was WWII, so I am assuming this is also WWII, but I have NO idea what it is!! It has a 2 blade propeller on it, so I would think it has something to do with airplanes (Pilots??). The badge also has a screwback stud and a pin stud on the back. It is made from metal and measures approx. 2 3/8" tall and 1 7/8" wide. No markings that I can see. Thanks!

It is US Civil Air Patrol.
I do not know exactly what for though. I think it will be post war in date.
Cheers, Ade.

Thanks for the input! I never even thought of Civil air patrol! I was focused on the USAAF or some other pilot group (either Navy or Marine). I will do some more research into the Civil Air Patrol. thanks!

Ade is correct.. United States Civil Air Patrol, Officer Cadet Service Hat there are two sorts male and female but I am not aware of the exact differences. The height of the official badges are 2 3/8" the new ones are by no means as good quality as the example you have.
