Default US WWII Aerial Gunner's Pin

Here is another lovely item which was waiting for me the other day. A WWII US Army Air Corps Aerial Gunner's pin. The patina on this one speaks for itself. It is, believe it or not, my first set and I'm happy to add this one to my medal case.

    Regards,

    Joel

That is a nice one Joel !

A finely feathered example that has no known maker, but are great wings.
The pin looks like copper or bronze which is nice to see also !

    Regards,

    Steve.

    Steve,

I thank you very much for your comment. You are absolutely right in the sense that it doesn't have a Maker's mark but truly has great detail. I saw this one and it was a must have. So, isn't a lot of what I purchased over the years. LOL!

    Regards,

    Joel

I have "clutch-back" pilot wings in the same design I can post here if
    you'd like to see them.

    Here they are..................

The one in front is slightly smaller and rather poorly executed compared to the other
which leads me to believe it's a fake. They are both clutch-backs and of the same
design as your gunner - probably from the same maker, but the maker of this
    pattern remains a mystery.

    Steve.

Steve, thank you for posting yours for comparison. I think your right on the bottom one possibly being of the same Manufacturer. The Wing detail almost is exact. Thank you for posting them. Now, we need to know who was the anonymous Manufacturer who performed this caliber of quality work. The mystery continues...

    Regards,

    Joel
