Welch cap badges

Article about: Arrived today and picked up for 99p from ebay, Welsh regiment OR's white metal collar converted to a sweetheart brooch, though sadly it has since lost its pin.

    Thanks to a member on another forum who knew I was looking I have another 53rd Div combined R Signals patch coming to me. Not a perfect match but it does give me a handed pair of patches that my Dad would have worn when he served with 53rd Welsh divisional signals during WWII. The new one is one the left and is shown with the one I already had.

    Very nice Tom. I think it might be a bit earlier than WWI to be for the Welsh as they added the scroll towards the end of the 19th century, or it could be for one of the other regiments that used the POW feathers, though as I mentioned the Welsh did use them without the scroll on cap badges during the Victorian period.
