WW1/WW2 Officer Cap & Shoulder Boards
Hello all. My great, great uncle served in the United States Army and retired as a Colonel in 1945. I have a beautiful pair of shoulder straps produced by Vanguard that have never even been taken out of the original packaging. On the outside of the box it has a price tag of $14.25 with several serial numbers or such: USA-OCO-CERT.#8-419-1 also 497655. It also says 990/2%GOLD on the line stating quality. I also have his service dress cover, in remarkably excellent condition. I have quite a few other relics but these two certainly caught my eye... hoping to make some sense of these and perhaps some sort of value, as I cannot find ANYTHING online! Thanks so much!
