    Hello thank you! How is it possible to be sure that the badge was made before 1945 ?

    It is generally accepted that a badge with a slider rather than lugs is post 1945 but unfortunately some badges were still made with lugs so, if a badge has a slider you can say definately post '45 but with lugs you must say it's wartime if you want it to be! The only way to be certain would be good provenance.
