It says "Protect Us" on the top on the front.
Very nice find. It's a WWII era Sterling Silver Catholic medallion of protection for a military member-in this case, someone named "Tom". On the front, it has the words "Protect Us" and below is St George, Jesus and the Virgin Mary and on the reverse it has their symbols and signs. I wonder if it worked and kept Tom safe? Or was it returned to his family with his effects? We may never know....

Very nice find i have a similiar one from my grandfather who did make it bad alive !! also a piece of interest to me because it shows how faith took a part in these mens survival and sanity !! again nice find
I particularly like the enameling. I would Almost be tempted to polish it up, but some people would frown on this, of course. How large is it?

This little piece is really starting to grow on me. It is about the size of a quarter. A quarter doesn't quite overlap the top and bottom of the piece, but overlaps the sides.
