Default WW2 US Bomber Jacket Back Patch

Hey everyone. I managed to find a really good WW2 bomber jacket patch that went on the back. I just wanted to get a little more information on it and I noticed there looked like a name on the back in pencil. I would love to have a name to go along with this patch. It looks like it might have been a spare since it doesn't have any holes where it was sewn on a jacket.

I thought that's what it was. I knew I saw it somewhere before. I looked closer at the writing and it looks like the first part says Maj on it.

Update. I looked at it more closely on the back and I noticed the second line says ching way. Does that mean anything?
