The code number G2 was used by Gemsco, Miford, Ct. and this code was used only from the 1950's-the present. Sorry but a very fine wing indeed! After the war all metal insignia had a two digit code assigned to them.
Ditto. These bronze wings are usually 1/20th silver plated, though not all
are marked as such. As a rule, any wings with numeric codes are
post-war/modern era pieces, as stated.
The design above is the same as what 'Amico' or 'LGB' (Balfour)
and 'N.S. Meyer' used during WWII...........

Bummer! I was hoping it was WWII era. Is there any way to date the wings....like from the Korean War, Vietnam, etc? thanks
My guess is 60's or 70's - 'Vietnam era' is appropriate.............

Steve.
OK. Thanks. I guess I will try to sell them as I only collect WWII era item. Thanks again!
