Italian bayonet ??

what are your thoughts on this bayonet
this is italian correct ??
is this the fixed type that looks like its folds??
are these rare?

Yes you are correct. I have just done a bit of research and have found that it is an modified 1891/ 38 bayonet which was initially made to fold but due to weaknesses in the design were re- worked into fixed blade bayonets. No idea as to the rarity of it, but I have not seen one before. Cheers.
