Italian SS Cap Eagle Authentic ?

Article about: I am starting this thread for a friend, he got this eagle with a group of authentic collar tabs from Italy. The ealge appears to be made of lead or maybe pewter. The pin back of the eagle is

    Default Italian SS Cap Eagle Authentic ?

    I am starting this thread for a friend, he got this eagle with a group of authentic collar tabs from Italy. The ealge appears to be made of lead or maybe pewter. The pin back of the eagle is well soldered. We just wanted to know if it is authentic or not? We thouught it might of been made by the RSI later in the war or might be an early copy. Thanks in advance for your help, it is greatly appreciated.
