Maybe way off, but is this fellow Italian?

Article about: Found this charcoal portrait in a local shop. Nice frame if nothing else, but for some reason (and I know little about Italian uniforms) in the back of my mind it seems this may be one...??

Very nice portrait! I like the period frame too. (The guys polka dot Tie? Well...not so much...lol) Nice find! William

Thanks Guys! Agreed on the polka dot tie.

It is older than I suspected and the frame is definitely original. Too bad there isn't any info written on it, but I suppose that is typical. Unfortunately, another forgotten soldier. The wife says it is a photo and not charcoal and she is probably correct. Will be decided when I take it apart to clean the glass.

    Best regards!
