Found this charcoal portrait in a local shop. Nice frame if nothing else, but for some reason (and I know little about Italian uniforms) in the back of my mind it seems this may be one...??

The collar patches are Italian, yes. (Others will be probably be able to tell you more.)

It is older than I suspected and the frame is definitely original. Too bad there isn't any info written on it, but I suppose that is typical. Unfortunately, another forgotten soldier. The wife says it is a photo and not charcoal and she is probably correct. Will be decided when I take it apart to clean the glass.
