NEED HELP Italian ww2 waterbottle

For today i have for you a special question guys. In my collection i have this italian [ww2??] waterbottle .It misses its original shoulder strap . Is it from ww2 or post war ??? P.S In the tap there are ingraved inatials CCN

I know you're eager to get answers, but patience is a must. Keep in mind that a lot of members on this forum are from across the globe. While it may be a reasonable hour in your neck of the woods, it could be work time, really late, or really early where other members are from. If the members here know the answer to your question, they'll be around soon enough to help you out.

Also, I think you're right... I don't think it comes with a cup.

I have an interest in Italian items, but unfortunately there are few Italian pieces in my collection... the few Italian WWII canteens I've seen have web shoulder straps. It's possible that because your example has a leather strap it could be WWI vintage!
