i would say ww2 m33 but as for the commo paint im not shore. the liner has the two srait stiches at the back not the zig zag stich. whitch the strait is ww2.
Nice pick up for $20
I agree ww2 helmet. The green leather chin strap held on with two rivets on to the bales. And the fact that the fingers of the liner arenít metal reinforced points to ww2 era. It may be a early m33 helmet the vent rivets would tell that story.
Here is a link
As far as I am aware your helmet has the earliest type rivet vents. Which I think dates it to pre ww2, so it was most probably used ww2. The batch number must be pre war.
I still say a nice ww2 pick up.
Great for $20 I agree. I can't comment on the paint as I have no experience at all with Italian camo helmets.
A very nice find !
We are the Pilgrims , master, we shall go
Always a little further : it may be
Beyond that last blue mountain barred with snow
Across that angry or that glimmering sea...
Great buy for 20 dollars
hey thanks for all the responses I learned alot but I am still wondering about the camo paint does anyone know about it?
You did awesome for 20 bucks!!!!!
The liner and chin strap look to be in great condition!!
Now you just need to look for the bayonet and rifle to go with it and your all set!!!!
